What Is Lent Fasting?
You might be wondering, “What exactly is Lent Fasting, and how does it differ from other fasts?” Perhaps you already have some familiarity with the concept, or maybe this is completely new to you. We’ll also be hosting a LENT intro Zoom session on Thursday, March 13th at 6:30 PM, where we will dive deeper into the meaning and significance of Lent Fasting. This session will be a great opportunity to ask questions and learn how this fast can deepen your faith and relationship with God. Then, we’ll host additional weekly support meetings March 20th, 27th; April 3rd, 10th, & 17th at 6:30pm. Put these dates on your calendars!

Why Participate in the Lent Fast?
Lent is a sacred season of reflection and preparation leading up to Easter. As a congregation, we want to come together to honor and remember God’s only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus came to earth in human form to show us the way to repentance, obey His Father, and offer His life as the ultimate sacrifice to reconcile us back to an intimate relationship with God, our Heavenly Father. This Lent Fast is an opportunity to reflect on Jesus’ sacrifice and strengthen our spiritual walk. It’s a time to draw closer to God through prayer, fasting, and intentional giving—and to support one another in this journey of faith.

What to Expect During the 40 Days
Throughout the Lent Season, we will gather weekly to provide support, share encouragement, and offer valuable resources to guide you through this spiritual journey. These weekly meetings will help us stay connected as a community and stay focused on our shared goals of spiritual growth. We’re looking forward to seeing how God moves in our ministry, our families, and our individual lives during this transformative time. It’s a season of new opportunities, breakthroughs, and renewed faith—and I’m excited to walk through it with all of you! Let’s prepare our hearts and minds for this special season. Together, we can grow closer to God and experience His love and grace in deeper ways.

Blessings!
