Pastor Walter Robinson

1906-1924

In 1906, New Jerusalem Church grew out of Old Jerusalem Church with eleven members under the leadership of Rev. Walter Robinson.

Pastor Eddie Payne

1924-1927

He was the second pastor of the church and continued to lead the church in the path set by his predecessor. Rev. Payne pastored the church from 1924-1927.

Pastor Cleveland Williams

1927-1932

Pastor Williams came to the church in 1927 and was very enthusiastic in his efforts to remodel and update the church. He served the church faithfully and only death separated him from this union in 1932.

Pastor J.V. Haywood

1933-1956

1933 a strong and courageous man was elected to serve the church. From Pine Bluff, Arkansas, he began his ministry with a strong will to strengthen the church in number, in finances, and spiritually. In 1951, Rev. Haywood led the church in the reconstruction of a new building.

Pastor C. R. Raymond

1956-1962

He and Pastor H.C. Cherry were successors from 1956 to 1962 of Rev. Haywood. They served brief periods, but each left a pleasant memory with the church.

Pastor C.H. Moreland

1962-1969

On November 3, 1962 he came to serve the church as pastor. He introduced a smooth and spiritual program for worship and the congregation readily accepted it.

Pastor Hosie Robinson

1969-1985

On December 7, 1969, Rev. Hosie Robinson, a tall, handsomely built, quiet mannered, spirit filled man, with a radiant personality, came from Chicago to the church.

Pastor Jesse Jackson

1986-2004

In February 1986, he was elected to continue the ministry of service. His fiery, articulate, and strong voice immediately won the confidence of the people he was about to serve. He brought with him a loving family, a Bible-teaching ministry filled with the Holy Ghost, and a song of inspiration and praise.

Pastor Myron Holmes

2005-Present

In the year of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, 2005, the church experienced a very first by electing the youngest minister in the history of the church. Pastor Holmes was elected in May 15, 2005, and installed September 4, 2005. Pastor Holmes’ motto is “Preach to Impact and Not to Impress”.
